Could not agree more about LaFaulx.
I have been using it with a Feather Pro and the + plate and finding it to be smooth and easy.
I am a newbie 70 year old wet shaver, and this is my favorite so far.
The Blackbird Vector is also very easy to use, being so small and nimble.
Can't wait to try a WR4!
By the way, I found it very easy to work with Augustin. He is very helpful and responsive!

I will only say that the La Faulx has been a constant top performer in my shave den. Shaving with this is like a session in a spa for my face. The complete smoothness & comfort it delivers while simultaneously removing whiskers with such calm like efficiency is simply outstanding during my shaves. The variety of blades that I’ve used in it have worked very well in general with some working extremely better than others but, as a whole the La Faulx has shown and proven to work well with any steel blade that is installed. Never any discomfort or any harshness from any particular brand of blade with decent longevity from most. A well thought out design by Augustin at Atelier Durdan that looks intimidating but, is nothing of the sort. It’s graceful in design, form & function and lacks in nothing in shaving attributes that most all shavers are looking for. Price is the only thing that deters most as I will admit it’s not a cheap razor and is perhaps the more exclusive in pricing compared to other luxury/premium minded priced razors in the category. However, for the money there are very few makers that deliver a work of art that is fully functional in its sole purpose to deliver superb shaves while aesthetically being pleasing to the wet shavers eye. The La Faulx accomplishes both in extremely fine fashion. It’s a top 5 shaver in my den and perhaps maybe even top 3 when all is said & done.
It brings pure shave joy & satisfaction to the 9’s.

@"GlazedBoker," I found that the way you describe your experience with La Faulx with Classic plate closely resembles my own experience, I wish it had just slightly more blade feel. Thought about ordering a copy of your build. Could you share your specs? From what I read you have the stainless steel version with the + plate and hollowed-out handle? If so, how deep is the handle hollowed out? Thanks.

Pardon my late reply amigo. I had the handle hollowed out 1/3 of the handle in depth. For me, it gave it a better weight bias towards the head without being over. The balance and ease of transition in hand is much more comfortable and suitable to my shave technique as I prefer that slight heavier head weight. Others like a more balanced package from top cap to bottom of the handle but, I prefer a slight heaviness geared towards the head. The balance still feels good with a 55/45 ratio in weight distribution. I opted for both the + & ++ plate options for my set up. And to be quite honest, I haven’t had the need to go use the ++ plate a single time. The + gives me all that I could want in both smoothness & efficiency. If I want a more aggressive or an uptick in blade feel, I just use a different blade like the Feather Pro Super. If I want less and want a more daily or less aggressive shaver, I go with the Schick, KAI or Feather Pro. I get practically a custom & a subtle but, noticeable shave characteristics from the blades themselves without having to swap out the base plate.
Hope that helps my friend. Happy shaves…
Hogger I think you picked right plate for La Faulx. I have No7 1.1 and La Faulx ++ and La Faulx feels milder with less blade feels as No7 1.1
But as with AC you can change a lot with different AC blades to increase or decrease blade feel. I use Kai Pink (unguarded) with La Faulx++ and it feels very safe and can use it for daily 3 passes without any irritation.
