I really enjoy trying new soaps and every time I turn around there is some new, shiny offering that piques my interest.

PS I agree with Nick, LPL is a very fine soap IMHO.

Its not easy to resist the urge of trying new soaps especially with all the good reviews l read about artisans soaps.
I try to follow a one out one in rule. l enjoy all my soaps so "one out" actually means l have to finish something before getting something new.
LPL is definitely on my list, l just have to finish something I already have.

I am not familiar with Dimitri's but Haslinger is a solid soap and one that will give you great shaves. Enjoy!

If you like what you're using, then you're not missing out. That said, I use both commercially produced soaps as well as top tier artisanal soaps and like both realms equally for different reasons.

I agree with Old_Hiker. If you have already found shaving gear that works well for you, then you have all you need to get good shaves. For those who have yet to find that perfect combo, I would say don't exclude artisan soaps. There are some really good ones out there. That being said, I think it is a good idea to look here for reviews on the soaps before selecting one to try. If lots of people agree a soap works well, then that is a good sign.

I'm going to finish off my Stirling's lime SS today, used up the Volobra last week. I bought some Soap Commander Purpose off the BST last night, and added a tub of Maggard's London Barbershop SS in with my OC razor head, and MR-8 Bulldog Handle. I also stand by the rule of using something up before I buy something else. If I had to I could keep it to just one razor and a puck of MWF, but that would get boring.
