I'm moved to comment on the uniformly exceptional service I've gotten from all of the artisans and vendors in the shaving business. I'm not talking about Procter & Gamble. I have in mind ATT, Maggard's, Bullgoose, Stirling, etc. On the rare occasions when I have to phone about something, I invariably speak to a living human being. Emails are answered promptly. Items are shipped almost immediately.

It's a level of service that existed pretty much everywhere when I was a kid. Now, it's a rarity.

It encourages me to support independent craftspeople and merchants in every area, not just shaving.

Are there vendors you've had particularly good dealings with?

Here's a list of mine. It's in no particular order. A name's absence could mean I haven't dealt with that vendor or I just forgot.

Joe at Italian Barber
Maggard's Razors
Leon at Pasteur Pharmacy
Soap Commander
Stirling Soaps
James at Wolfman
Timeless Razors
Shane at Blackland
Above the Tie
Phil at Bullgoose

I look forward to adding names.

Thats great to hear don'tfeartheweeper , we so often are moved to share bad experiences that its really nice to hear positive feedback.  I don't recall a single bad experience in the years that I've been buying online from the various vendors and artisans that make the wet shaving space so enjoyable.  So, at the risk of leaving out someone important I want to thank:

Carmine at Top of The Chain
Will at Barrister & Mann
Shawn at Chatillon Lux
Ryan at Tallow+Steel
Joe at Italian Barber
Everybody at Fendrihan
Sri at Wholly Kaw
Scott at Declaration Grooming
Mo at Grooming Dept
Justin at Bufflehead
James at Wolfman Razors
Paolo at Eleven / Sapone de Paolo
Chris at Razorplate
Cap the guy who fixes razors
The great people on Damn Fine Shave
And all the rest.....

I believe it's Sean, not Shawn. But the spirit is spot on. Maol's service is awesome.

And Marko's list is also spot on, and comprehensive. Especially "all the rest." I would call out Brian at Charcoal Goods as a significant addition.

Marko, I realize you cannot think of everyone but I have to give a huge shoutout to Rod and Mandy (ezlovan) and their Stirling Soap Company.  Their service is superb and everything I have ordered is perfectly packaged.

Also, one of the merchants you mentioned, Shawn (hawns) of Chatillon Lux went so far and above for me that I am still in awe.

All of these merchants try so hard to build their businesses while doing the very best they can for their customers and yet still get unnecessary and harsh flack from some.  Occasionally, it’s good to see a thread like this to remind us that we have the quality shaving products we do because of these folks.
