I might be the odd man out here, but I think all his bases (including K2E) are very similar.

This is what I was expecting to experience.

The concept of Kaizen is incremental improvement. Thus Kaizen, Kaizen 2 and Kaizen 2e are quite similar with only minor tweaks.

All three of them will give a wonderful shave. The only difference I detect between them is in the post-shave experience. With Kaizen, I can feel the conditioning for about 16 hours. With Kaizen 2, that feeling lasts nearly 24 hours. With Kaizen 2e, I can still feel the conditioning for a full 24 hours and slightly beyond.

I have sensitive skin and I rarely use a post-shave splash, balm, serum, or skin food. Thus, the post-shave feel of the soap is very important to me. For those of you who do not have sensitive skin, or who have oily skin, or who use a post-shave product, the different in post-shave feel from the soap might not be significant. In that case, pick the version that has the scent that most appeals to you and enjoy the shave. They are all superb soaps.
