Hello everyone. Need your help to see if these are the real Personna 74. Got them on eBay. The reason I think they might not be is because the actual razor blade only says Personna. I know that the original say Personna 74 on them. But I'm not sure if they made some without the 74 printed on them. Here is the picture of what I received. Under that picture is the seller pictures. Thank you for your help.

I don't think they're real 74s. It's not only the 74 number that's missing, but also the Tungsten steel...

So is that package not of the Personna 74. I've heard that the last of the 74 were being packaged as the super platinum but in side were the Personna 74's. I thought that was the package. But I guess I was wrong. Unless they switch the blades in side it. I guess it's my lost. Thank you for your help nikos.a.

These are still excellent blades. For me they shave nearly as well as the tungsten 74s.

But the question is do they last as long as the 74?

I do not believe these are the Personna 74 Tungsten Plus and the seller clearly states that, from what you show here.  It doesn't make sense that Personna would package the 74 in something that doesn't state that.  Having said that, please let us know how you like the shaves with these and how many shaves per blade you get.

I was gifted a pack of the Personna 74 Tungsten Plus blades from Will (1morepasswill) and today's shave marked a full 21 days with the same blade.  The blade is still going strong.

As churchilllafemme said, I would still take a chance at using them but I would say with good certainty that these are not the 74's you're looking for. I wouldn't pay too much for them though.

I hope you don't mind if I pile on here, but I used the original Personna 74* when it first came out. At 70 my memory is not what it once was, but here is my recollection of the chronology (and by the way, welcome to the mysterious world of Personna blades!):
Tungsten Steel Blades (Original P74*)
Tungsten Plus Blades (I believe this was the same blade with hot, new marketing)
Super Platinum Chrome Blades (I believe this was a different blade with Tungsten in the "alloy" - see line six of the paragraph on the back of the Hang Card, not the same as the P74* but still pretty good. I had heard that P74* marked blades were to be found in some of these packages during the changeover, as on-hand inventory was reduced. I had also read somewhere that those with the P74* blades were the black plastic dispensers, as opposed to the white dispenser in the above pic).
I have no proper annotations for these comments, just fuzzy memories.

Also, your seller pretty clearly states in his description that these were post-P74* blades.

HTH.

Tom
