Understanding the OP's position, however as neither Timeless nor Blackland, nor anyone other than:

Tatara
Rocnel
Rex
HomeLikeShaving

offer modern adjustables on any sort of regular basis. Only Rocnel and HLS, to my knowledge, have not been squirrelly on multiple occasions, and obviously HLS is not currently available in most markets.

I am a little confused, contact the seller where you bought it from and hopefully return it to them.
