The synths load really fast and they dry out quick. Great for travel. I just don't like the way they feel on my face. The brush I gave your partner felt softer to me then my Plisson. I also happen to think two band badgers make the best looking brushes.

All of these points are very true. I still have my TGC synthetic I got before their price point was demolished by everyone else. I use it when I travel, but I very rarely travel. I tried to give it to a friend once when he decided to start wet shaving, but then he looked up how expensive synthetic brushes were and decided to just buy one for himself. I have been intrigued by those Muhle STF brushes, but not enough to buy one.

Once they make one that looks just like two band badger i will be all over it. The Simpson's Synthetic looks pretty close to a three band and people seem to like it. i keep my Plisson because it was a gift from my wife. Can't deny they work incredibly well.

I have noticed the amount of synthetic brushes been offered by several brush makers, very nice IMO.  I own a few, Wolf Whiskers, Plisson, Simpson, and have a small heard from IB coming my way.

I'll be hard pressed to give up my badgers, but they have a place in my den.

So, are synthetics the way of the future in traditional wet shaving?

I think they definitely have a chair at the table.  What say you?
I have never tried crazy high priced animal hair brushes like 150-300 bucks, but I have tried the more regular priced ones and yes they are good, but the synthetic ones are off the charts in my opinion and to think I paid $20 for these 2...

it's very hard to beat their price and quality while also satisfying a very broad spectrum of shaving users at the same time... from those who like synthetics because they're cheap, work very well and dry quickly to the shaving users who try to avoid using animal products as much as possible.

to me, that sounds like a huge WIN.
