Lol. Yeah, I had a puck of their Pedro soap... The art is quite 'safe'. It's more the quality of what I ended up buying that turned me off. Some of their other soaps are less nice, imo.

Still, looking at their site, it seems like there's less of these covers. I wonder if they decided to phase it out. Who knows?

So, at this point, i'm actually considering getting the Aspen Parkland soap. I didn't try it, but I know their soap is a great one for me. I'll probably ask my wife to get it for me for my birthday. Let me ask you Eric...

Is it scentless or just without added scent? For example, Sir Henry's has a lot of soap ingredient scents, whereas Canada soap is truly scentless (to my nose).

I just stuck my nose in the tub and didn't smell anything. But the lid had been off so I will try again. I test sniffed a few others and discovered what you mentioned in that some have no odor and some have soap ingredient smells. I never noticed that before other than with MWS Sensitive Skin.

I took a big sniff again this morning after the tub had been capped all night and think it was almost no scent. I may have caught a soap scent, but I will not swear to that!

Greatly appreciated Eric. Sounds like it mimics many of the other ones... Being (just about) truly scentless.

Have a great Sunday.

Being such a patient guy and all... You know, with all that willpower... I went ahead and ordered the Aspen Parkland last night. Lol.

Really love McDuffs performance. This should be a great soap for me.

Happy Monday folks!

Your patience is similar to mine! I had just told myself last week that no new tubs until I empty one, but by the end of Saturday's shave with Apsen Parkland, I ordered another tub!!

That right there is all the motivation I need. If it's that good for you, and I really like their base in other soaps, it's gonna be tops for me too.

Thanks again for your help / guidance / generous samples / questions answered, Eric. I appreciate it a lot!

Started out with a Tobacco scented soap, but quickly switched over to the Ethos Tibu Sabini sample.

I'll admit, I was scared to use this soap. I feared it would be such an amazing shave that I'd have to buy it. Lol. However, while it did quite well (top tier for sure), It wasn't anything I could live without. In fact, of the samples I tried, this falls just below Zingari Man, I'd say (for me). Maybe the Tallow in ZM really helps? I'm pretty sure Tibu is a vegan base.

Nonetheless, it did a great job and it was a rescued shave. Happy Tuesday folks!

Edit: The more I think about this shave the more I think, "if the Tibu took over mid-shave, I'm still going to have irritation - angry skin, from the prior soap. I need to give it another run before I say it is or isn't as good as a tallow." A fair, science minded test.

I'm still hoping it doesn't beat out my other choice - Macduffs. Not that I wouldn't be happy, it just means more purchases and a stockpile is beginning. Lol. Mind you, it'll be a surplus I definitely will use. A tub of soap should only last me 6-9 months (every other day shaving).

Last night was shave #1 with Aspen Parkland. I'd say it was good, but not the best. Of course, you can't put a lot of stock in one shave... Time will tell.

My tub came today, and I have mashed the donut from the previous tub onto the new one! I hope it performs well for you and that I didn't lead you astray!

It gets its second run today. I'm sure it'll be good. I may still grab a tub of the Zingari. I'm waiting until after today's shave to decide.

I've been scooping it, so if I decide it's not for me, I can pass it on.
