Yep, I'm definitely an old man... And boy am I feeling it these days. Lol.

My eldest daughter, actually. I have two girls... So someone up above has a sadistic sense of humor.

Same razor, blades, post-shave, and just a rotation of the same soaps. I feel like a broken record if I post the same repetitive thing over and over.

I do have a new soap out for delivery today: Noble Otter Monoi de Tahiti. So tomorrow afternoon it might get used (if I like it).

Busy time though... School is coming to a close, with my eldest graduating HS. So much to plan and do. I'll try to give a bit more attention to this thread. Also: I told you I'd eventually loose track of posting here, Eric MaineYooper .

Happy Tuesday folks!

Congratulations Doug!  Time flies when you're raising kids.

Thanks Mike. It does indeed. If you want to watch your life pass before your eyes at a break neck pace, have children. Lol.

So the Monoi de Tahiti soap arrived. Didn't even get to use it. I didn't care much for the scent. I let my wife sniff the tub and she absolutely hates it. Definitely a pass for mi casa. I'll probably list it for sale or trade on the BST soon. Ooh well, can't win them all.

That's good to know about the Monoi de Tahiti Doug.  I'm on the fence with this one.  It's not the scent I was expecting, but I may give it a go anyway.  Or maybe not.  ...  Hmm.

What a great shave this afternoon. I used Dr Jon's Savannah Sunrise, along with my new Razorock travel brush (22mm keyhole).

As for a blade, I tossed the rest of the pack of Astra's I was working on (2 left). I was getting really bad shaves. This is the Astra I remember from the past... black print on the blade and on the waxed paper.

I then decided to try a theory... I popped a newer 'laser-etched' Astra in and it worked so well. I guess this makes me odd... unlike most, it appears the older Astra's are not my cup of tea.

Paul, I've been going back and forth between the older black print Astra SP and the newer "laser-etched" ones. I can definitely tell a difference too... I greatly prefer the newer ones.

That's reassuring. I get into these things and wonder if it's all in my head. Since the laser etched are all you can get going forward, you and I are in luck.
