Thanks Eric!

Forgot to mention I received my Ethos Sweet Lavender this evening. It's pretty close to Yardley's. A lot stronger, and a bit less of the citrus type notes (I Don't know for sure that there's any citrus in Yardley's, I just don't know how else to explain the notes). I grated it into a tub to try soon.

EDIT: As I lay there going to sleep I could smell it on my hands (from grating it). It's definitely different. Not by a lot, but something in the formula is off. I kept getting a hefty whiff of 'old lady'. Maybe it's the lavender? Not sure this is going to work out, but it deserves a shave at least.

After Almost 2 months in transit it looks like my Yaqi Silvertip is set to be delivered today. Wow.

I'm very curious to see it in person, after so much time of waiting. I've also tried and given up on Badgers in that time, too. Lol. Is it wrong that I hope they sent me the wrong (synthetic) one?

I'll be posting a picture when I have it on my hands.

It's been a while since I bought from AliExpress. Is this the new normal... 1.5 to 2 times as long for delivery? Sheesh. You suck COVID. Lol.

Used the Overlander, as usual, with a new Personna Comfort Coated blade. The brushwork was courtesy of the Trotter Handcrafts - Lore brush. Talent Soap Factory Glazed Donut soap rounded out the lineup.

It was a good, three pass shave. No complaints. The soap scent was wonderful, the performance was plenty good. I continue to be happy with this razor. I wonder if I did something to the shave when I accidentally polished the cap. I can't be certain, and it performs well regardless.

Have a good evening folks.[Image: df20500b54d503947626dc5990db284a.jpg]

"accidentally polished the cap" sounds like a good story waiting to be told. Or it's the title of my next hit single!

I experimented with aging the top cap. It came out so bad that I had to flitz it. After cleaning it, the cap ended up semi-polished. (Ammonia, salt, and hydrogen peroxide to age)

I think I sent this to you back when I did it (a week ago?).

Haha, if I am I'm a very poor 'marketing guru'. Just about everyone knows the wonders of Flitz and Maas.

Like I say at work, I'm always the last one to know anything.

Holy moly! It's almost a month since my last post here. I swear, I am still shaving. Lol. Sometimes I post in the soap thread, sometimes in the SOTD. Most of the time, I just don't post it.

Same razor, blades, post-shave, and just a rotation of the same soaps. I feel like a broken record if I post the same repetitive thing over and over.

I do have a new soap out for delivery today: Noble Otter Monoi de Tahiti. So tomorrow afternoon it might get used (if I like it).

Busy time though... School is coming to a close, with my eldest graduating HS. So much to plan and do. I'll try to give a bit more attention to this thread. Also: I told you I'd eventually loose track of posting here, Eric MaineYooper .

Happy Tuesday folks!
