Thanks Paul! I really like how this one came out. I used the Prisma app, and just stumbled upon a filter that worked. It still looked unfinished so I used Snapseed to adjust the lighting and give it some 'pop'.

A nice happy accident. Lol.

So after last night I'm one step closer to being convinced that the Overlander is my #1 razor. It works so well, is so far super comfortable, and looks awesome to boot.

I'm thinking, of tomorrow's shave goes well again, I'll list the Henson Titanium. I'm feeling a little trepidation about selling it and not knowing why the last handle crumbled. However, I have seen zero (zip, nada, none, zilch) posts here and elsewhere about problems with the titanium. Thus, I'm thinking it was a fluke. Nonetheless, to make my conscience happy, I'll list it for cheap. That way, if the buyer has to get a new handle down the road, it'll still end up being a bargain. Does that make (moral) sense?

It does make sense to me. I'd think as long as you mentioned it, you could list it for less, but don't have to take a huge hit. OTOH, I like your idea better after writing mine! I would most likely do as you!

I saw your post in acquisitions thread re Winter Cabin. Can you describe how the scent hits your nose and what you don’t like about it? I think MacDuff’s makes a great base and some of the scents do appeal to me. I quite like the Autumn Cabin and considered getting Winter Cabin just to fill in the Cabin set but the raspberry note just doesn’t do it for me. I’ve tried other products with “fruity” notes and they’re not for me. Thanks for your thoughts on this one.

Another awesome shave courtesy of the Karve Overlander. Im really enjoying this razor. So happy I jumped in and tried it.

Today I also used the now discontinued Fine lavender pour homme soap. A wonderful scent on a great classic base. I'll miss it when it's gone. However, I do have a large tub of it (began life as two refill pucks). So hopefully that's not for a few years, with my jumping from soap to soap.

Finally the Oscuro... Such a beautiful brush, especially with the daytime sunlight.

Happy Saturday folks![Image: bcf27f6fa987dbc3bc52f05627c7af54.jpg]

Since I shave every other day and my next shave will be Tuesday, I decided to go Valentine's themed today.

I used my Trotter Handcrafts Lore (my red brush) and Lisa's Somali Rose soap. The rest consisted of the Overlander with a Wizamet Super Iridium blade.

I think this may be my first use of the SI blade. It was pretty darn good. Will need to complete more with it before I claim it is good / great, but it worked very well for the first shave. If this level of smoothness and efficiency keeps up, I can surely see why this is one of Gillette's more popular blades. Well, kinda Gillette... It's a P&G name.

Regardless, a wonderful shave with a sweet floral gourmand soap. Time for some Superbowl warm ups now... with a beer.

Have a wonderful Sunday folks!

Hey Paul,

I put a Nacet in the Overlander this morning. Wowzer! It is now 11 hours later and I am just starting to get a little ATG stubble. With the grain is still smooth. Until the Overlander turned up, I was fairly certain I was moving away from DE razors and going to be doing more single edges.

Hope the week goes well!

Yeah, I used a Nacet recently. It worked well in the Overlander. Then again, I think they all work well in the Overlander.

Currently i have the Gillette Wizamet in there. It worked quite well too. I was planning on running through that blade for 4 or 5 shaves, but at the price, I doubt I'd ever she'll out for a bunch of those. They're just not that different. I'm also interested in how the Gillette Platinum works. Haven't used that in years. I might toss one in next.
