I like the bowl and nice job on the knot. Looks good to me !
This side is a bit more level, but has the HUGE silicone glob from the gap. I'll add a pic of the wonkier sanded side in a minute. Otherwise, my statement makes no sense (like most of what I say on a daily basis, lol).

Edit: Here it is, in all it's wobbly glory.

I think it looks great! And I agree with Dave, I would either never notice, and if I did, I wouldn't really care! In fact, I think it looks so nice that I may start "badgering" you to let me buy or trade for it!   Happy

Are you kidding me? It's yours! I'll put it in the mail tomorrow. It works really well, you'll definitely love the performance (Maggards).

I have so many brushes (including another Maggards 24), so I can absolutely stand to loose a few. I believe I'm at 19 or 20? Still haven't bought a second face (or 3rd or 19th).

Besides, some really nice guy did an awesome pif during the holidays offering most of his goods to others. In that spirit I'm moved to do the same.

Holy Mackerel, as we say in da UP, eh! That would be outstanding! But if you want a trade, just pick a brush (only a few aren't available)! I do have a lovely purple Trotter Handcrafts handle, Communion, that is 28mm/30mm, and I am having difficulty finding the best knot.

I am babbling, as I did not expect such a great offer. I will shut up now, and say Thank You.

You are most welcome Eric. No need for a trade, as I said, I am brush heavy. I'm happy you liked the work. I'll get it out to you tomorrow.

Have a great evening.

So last night I used the huge Yingling Brushworks handle with the Half gel Shoat knot. I've had a love hate relationship with this knot since it's arrival. When it initially got to me, it was nicer than other new Boar knots. No pokey stabbing tips, though it did have a rather odd feeling to it... Like the tips were melted (thicker and textured, but blunt).

Fast forward maybe 10 lathers and it is still the same. It seems to hold a lather better, but the tips really haven't changed.

I don't pretend to know anything about gelling a boar. So I reached out to Milton to find out if this was going to be it's forever condition. Happily, he told me that even gelled Boars will split. His experience has this happening in the range of 25 or so lathers. So, there is still hope for this one.

On that note, I do want to stress that Milton (of Turn N Shave) is so nice and approachable. He responds to inquiries super fast. I'm quite happy to have given him the business. In fact, there are a lot of 'un-sung heroes' in the Etsy-verse. Our own Stubble Daddy for one, as well as Tim at Knotworks. Also, the gentleman who owns Strickcraft Brushworks. I asked him a question about one of his brushes and as I recall, it turned into quite a wonderful conversation.

Hats off to all of the great small businesses making this an enjoyable hobby.

Well tonight I went to shave. Popped a new blade into the Winning razor, lathered up and got through 2 passes, then my daughter calls me. Her car is acting funny. She pulled over at a laundromat in a bad part of town and needs me to pick her up. Ugh!

I got back home 45 minutes later. Lathered up and tried to finish. It was quite painful.

This crappy shave was brought to you by the letters C - A - and R.

In an attempt at humor, I was going to suggest relathering, but I see you already know that!

In commiseration, I have had the same experience. There must be a narrow window of time between first and last pass before it is considered to be a second shave. My face feels your pain!

Glad you rescued your daughter.  Happy2

Thanks Eric. I guess you just can't win them all. Right up until I left, it was a great shave. In the immortal word of Meatloaf... Two out of three (passes) ain't bad.
