No they are not synthetic. The ones that cost $168 are Silvertip badger, and the ones that cost $156 are Super badger.

I have owned 6 Epsilons, now sold them all - but have only positive to say about them. Fantastic knots for a good price.

I now focus on Thäter, Shavemac and Simpson as my only 3 badger brands in my collection.
