I can't imagine being able to manage the business with a full time job. His decision is reasonable, especially with a young family.

I'm also not seeing wet shaving slowing down, but we are seeing some saturation in the soaps space.

No market saturation.  Quite the opposite actually.  Badger Shaving was booming,  but he has a family and a full time job,  and it was detracting from both.  I've also spoken to another well known artisan who closed Shoppe recently,  and their closure was not due to lack of business either.  At some point we will either reach a peak,  or wetshaving will grow so much that the big boys will buy the legislation they've been pushing and regain their lost market share. Either way,  I'm hopeful that the peak is years away.

Badger Shaving was my sole source for Stirling bath soap in Canada. Had I had more warning I would have bought as much Stirling bath soap as possible but being late to the party it was all sold out. I've abandoned a shopping cart or two at the Stirling website when the shipping cost has come up - I just can't swallow that. Is there any chance of another Canadian vendor picking up your soap? I see that Canadian Blade Company carries a small selection of Stirling shaving soap but no bath soap. It'd be nice to see him pick up a more comprehensive Stirling lineup.

He's going to be carrying just about our entire line soon, including bath soaps.
