I bought one for kicks, did one head shave and found it like its other cart brethren effective but not particularly pleasant. No danger I'll be selling any of my preferred razors.

was it a better shave than other cartridges you've used on your head though?

I think the only carts I've used on my head are Mach 3, some Dorco throw away and a Fusion, it was an easier shave with the Defender

good timing, my defender razor was delivered today and I planned on doing a head shave tonight so it'll be the razor of choice!

I used this razor last night to shave my head... I bought the long handle version and used the regular blade that comes installed on the handle from the factory. I also bought a pack of sensitive blades to try as well.

I had about 5-7 days worth of growth since my last head shave. when I have this much hair on my head, I'll either use my gillette guard to take it down on the first pass or use my clippers to trim it down and them use either my headblade or gillette mach 3 to finish the job. for this shave, since the razor speaks about not getting clogged up like other cartridges do (and boy do they ever with 5-7 days worth of growth!), I decided to go at it without cutting it down with anything whatsoever. I must say, I'm thoroughly impressed! The razor worked really well for me, doesn't really feel any different than the average cartridge razor and didn't clog on me at all!

I'll definitely keep using this one!

shaved my head with this razor again last night. my thoughts are the same as what I wrote previously. the only thing I'd like to see different with this razor is more texture/grip on the handle as it can get a little slippery in the hand.

With a lot of nice pictures from the internet.

But in EU there's not Defender.
Most users told It's the same of Boldking. (UK)
To me, looks the blade has different support. (pivoting)
But I've just seen pictures.

Can anyone relate?

I bought the Defender and the standard blades after reading this thread. I am a head shaver, not because I am going bald, but because I started shaving my head when my wife was going through chemo in 2018. I did it so often, now I do it because I like it.

With that being said, the Defender is an amazing head shaver! I have used just about every one of my DE/SE (not straights) razors to shave my head, plus numerous disposable razors and this one, for me, beats them all.

As I was watching the video, I was struck by two things. First, that a 5-bladed monstrosity is now considered a “traditional razor.” Second, that virtually every problem about shaving they raised was just as easily solved by just using a single blade! They had to essentially over-engineer a 3-bladed cartridge to solve problems that mostly only existed because there was more than one blade. I dunno….might shave great, but it just cracked me up.
