Nick, this gives me goosebumps.  When I was in Cardiff, Wales (that country's capital) in 1980, I was able to walk up to a Roman Wall, dating from 1,000+ years ago, and touch it  To think that I was touching a wall that had been built by Romans more than 1,000 years ago was simply unbelievable.

Freddy, the Agora of Athens was founded about 2500 years ago. Also, there have been found items and graves there from 1100 BC. Inside the museum, there is a well preserved grave of a 7 yo girl from that time. It's something that certainly gives you goosebumps.
