An addendum to any wet shaving guide

Very good advice, David!

I wish I could start shaving all over again and have all this good advice on which to rely.

I made lots of mistakes but thoroughly enjoyed the learning curve which sometimes seemed upside down.

David's two posts should be put together to become a little handbook which beginners to this site could print out.

Very sound advice across all points. I did start way back when with vids and a single set of gear: Merkur 38c, VdH soap, VdH brush and Derby blades.

I didn't get the bug for more "stuff" until a few months in after which I had developed moderate technique.
