What's the point of the aluminum version? Is it to be more affordable? Or is there some other benefit to it being aluminum?

Cheaper to make and much easier to machine. There aluminum goose will be sold at undetermined online vendors not directly from them. Also according to what I read models will be matte finish only until they can secure a shop that polishes to their specs. They have gone through numerous shops without success. But on FB they still take orders to them via email.

the cheaper price I think will definitely attract more people to the mongoose brand - myself included.

Good to know. If it's a price thing I can understand that. Is the handle aluminum too, or just the head? Seems like you want a decent weight, but don't want to throw off the balance. Just wondering how they are approaching it.

Head & handle are both aluminum.

I tried to see a price but couldn't find it. Does anyone know what they are going to sell for once they hit vendors retail?

I couldn't be bothered with emailing to be on waiting list for it.

A price has not been announced yet. I paid $75 for my AlumiGoose & was told that the next version would be slightly more. I would definitely think it will be sub $100 with my guess being $85.

Agreed and with the modifications I do have a bit of interest...

Just received an email; they expect pricing to be $99 not including shipping.
