Other than the colors, is this different from the Shave Dad razor?

Yes. The Shave Dad razor has a blade gap of 0.70mm, and this one is 0.90mm.

I own 5 Alpha razors - they are always in my rotation. I have found them to be smooth, efficient, and well balanced. My Alphas have great feedback. Nice face feel. The also handle many blade types - super sharp Feathers to mild Voshkods. Steve makes great stuff - count me in on a copper or brass version with a 95mm+ handle! I had a nice first shave on my head and face with this razor today. To me, it seems to strike a good balance between comfort and efficiency. Despite the 0.9mm gap, it didn't feel like it would bite. With some aluminum razors, I'm tempted to add pressure because of the light weight, but this razor was efficient enough that I didn't get fooled into doing that. All in all, it was a good first outing.

I "think" titanium would be awesome in this one.
