Alpha Shaving DE Razor Passaround - Call for Participants

I am on west coast list. I received the razor and brush from ddk13. Most probably I won’t use brush.

Can someone remind me how much time I have before I send it out to next member on the list?

1 week is usually standard practice - send it out next Tuesday or Wednesday, if possible.

Razor and brush arrived, look awesome. First shave in the AM.

First shave with the Alpha Outlaw this morning. Just some quick first impressions, as I will not give a full review until I get a few shaves in. The razor came in a nice leather case, and the brush was in a soft cloth bag. Both of these products are of very nice quality. The brush is comfortable in the hand and has a super soft synthetic knot. I want to use it, but am unsure about how to best sanitize it so I will hold off. The razor is built very well and has a nice balance. The handle has great knurling and never felt like it was going to slip. The mirror polish on the head is pheonominal, especially for the price. I had no issues loading a blade and the alignment was perfect. For the shave I used ETHOS Succes soap and AS, my Wolfwhiskers brush, and the Outlaw loaded with a fresh Astra SP. It was a great shave! The razor was smooth while still being relatively efficient. I could best compare it to my CB Karve with the SB "D" plate, just a little less efficient. I'll need a few more shaves to really get the hang if it. Only thing I dislike so far is how wide the head is (to cover the tabs most likely). I find it hard to shave around certain areas, but this is a personal thing and not really a knock on this razor. More to come! Thanks for including me in the passaround.

Some final thoughts and more pictures. This razor is a great daily shaver. It is mild enough to shave daily with while still being relatively efficient and smooth. I stand by my comparison between this and the Karve SB D plate. The Karve is a bit smoother and a hair more efficient. The polish is great, and I'm sure this would look great with a matching polished handle (I know that one is normally available). The relatively thin head and I assume slightly positive exposure makes it easy to get under the nose and my chin which tends to be a hard to reach spot. While I disliked the width of the head originally, it proved to not be as big an issue as I thought. The razor did not lack any maneuverability. I shaved daily for a few days, and shaved lastly with 4 days growth. The razor handles all types of growth with ease and never clogged even with the longer beard. The handle has nice grip and good balance. The razor is sanitized and I'll be shipping it off to the next participant. Here's the pass around list. Vlasta is going to send out two brushes and two razors, one for the West coast and one for the East coast. As per the usual DFS pass arounds, keep the razor for a week or so and then send it along to the next person on the list for your area. Once you have time, please share some feedback in this thread, whether good or bad.

As a precaution for the covid19 stuff, please soak the razor in alcohol, or something similar before using the razor and prior to shipping it off to the next person to limit our risks.
