Final Review

This is a fine razor. Very comfortable to hold, great weight and handles very well. The open comb gave the most efficient shave but more irritation as well. Post shave feel was best with the SB plate without lather holes. Blade clamping is very good...but for some reason..the SB plate with the lather holes seemed a bit off. Too much audio feedback and not so efficient.
Would have preferred a brass that will patina with time but overall I enjoyed using it.
Thanks Alpha and Andrew for organizing this. I still need to try the outlaw ...have a good feeling about Alpha razors.

Razor is being shipped to next in line. Enjoy

Received the razor from Ketotrader , a little late due to Manu’s family emergency. No big deal as I was patient.
Razor looks very nice and is well machined.
My first shave was with Proraso shaving cream, Astra SP blade and finished with Myrsol Balsamico A/S.

First shave was with the regular plate was just okay and wasn’t impressed. I Had a couple of weepers and irritation especially around the neck area. Very loud razor. It almost feels like the Bandit razor is skipping and blade is not clamped well. Imo I think it was due to the blade. It is efficient and it is good for mustache area. I wish it was a little better in smoothness. My preference is for high gap and smooth razors.

I will switch blade next shave with a Nacet and use the Other SB plate with no Drain holes.  Hoping to have a different experience next shave.

The handle ergonomically works very well even though its heavier than I would prefer. The angle is Preety much given to the angled top cap.

Review of my last shave:
Great comfortable shave, handle has great ergonomics. Wtg was efficient and smooth, just the right amount of blade feel - medium aggressive.. This razor can sing, really enjoy the audio feedback.
Not much left for Across the Grain pass. Again very smooth, Nacet blade is such a good match for this razor. I could of left it there but I chase BBs shaves. Against the grain was smooth and way better than my last go with the Alpha Bandit. I like that the top cap gives the angle as it makes it easy to shave. Wonderful pass! Like I said in last post, 10 out of 10 shave.

Last shave coming soon with the Open Comb plate. I will use the Nacet blade. (I now know for a fact that the SB plate with the lather holes is not for me, seemed blade clamping was off)

To be continued. . .

Open Comb Alpha Bandit Review :

Great Shave and this plate is also a winner. The efficiency on this razor (open comb) reminds me alot of .80 Oc side of Wr1. Very similar face feel and efficiency. Excellent shave and I highly recommend this razor if you like Wolfman Wr1 style head. Surprisingly this has taken the lead from the no lather holes SB, as it has the same comfort only with much more efficiency. Blade feel increases but minimally. If I had to choose 1 plate it would be the Open Comb, because I shave every other day… But If I would go back to my daily shaves it would be the no Lather holes SB plate. Also I was shocked that the SB plate with lather holes doesn’t feel anything like the other 2 plates and it was just uncomfortable.

Overall, this is an excellent razor and I highly recommend it. I would like to purchase once it is available. Don’t change the logos or anything, leave as is. My only criticism is revisit the Sb plate with lather holes, maybe geometry can be improved.

Once again Thank you DFS for the opportunity to try the Alpha Bandit.

If you want to be included in the pass around list, please comment that you're in and what state you live in. As per usual, keep the razor for 7-10 days (mostly because there's 3 plates) and then pass it off to the next person on the list. When you have time, please share your thoughts in this thread.

Here's the google form with some feedback questions Vlasta has for people who have used the razor in the pass around: https://forms.gle/cP6VTUGh1uLx3FN37
