Thanks for asking DanLaw

Unfortunately, I don't have any set dates at the moment.

Thanks.

Mohammad has moved into his new home, but it will take a while for things to settle down. The next releases planned are some aftershaves. Once that is completed, there will be more soaps coming. I am anxiously awaiting the Mallard soaps.

Another nice shave with Mumtazz. I seem to recall that Mohammad is releasing an aftershave in this scent. If so, it would be most welcome.

I'm not prying, but would it be right to assume that the both of you are friends on a personal level?

Hope the move went well, in any event.

My last haul, along with a couple other singular orders, were all about post shave products. So I'm definitely looking forward to the release of grooming dept aftershaves.

I have never met Mohammad personally and doubt that I ever will. However, we have been been communicating via email on a fairly frequent basis for a while now. In the old days you would have called us pen pals. So I do consider him to be a friend in that sense.

He sends me unscented samples of developmental soap formulas from time to time. I evaluate them and let him know what I think of the performance. Then when scented soaps are released to the public, I purchase those I like at the current retail pricing. I currently own 15 tubs of Grooming Dept soaps, not including unscented samples. Some of those tubs are older soap formulas that are excellent, but not quite as good as some of the more recent releases.

The current Mallard formula is one of my favorites, so I want to get at least one more of them. I already have two tubs each of Nai and Kairos, so I do not have immediate plans to purchase more of those formulas. I have too many soaps as it is.

Although Mohammad indicated the last release of Lamb Tallow Angel would be the final release of that formula due to the availability and cost of ingredients, I am hoping he might be able to make one more release of that formula before the end of this year. We will just have to wait and see. For now, his focus is on aftershaves, something that holds little interest for me personally, but I know others are looking forward to them.

Well, I'm sure it would be a great event if you were to meet.

Thanks for keeping us in the know.

Mohammad lives in Northern California. At one time he did live in the Chicago area about an hour's drive from where I live now. However, I knew nothing of him back then. With two thousand miles separating us, I doubt we will ever meet.

I did attend a shaving meet at Maggard's Razors in Adrian, MI two years ago. COVID messed up plans for 2020-2021 Along with the good folks at Maggard's, I met a lot of artisans who make soaps, brushes, razors, etc. However, Grooming Dept does not sell through Maggard's, so Mohammad was not there. I did get to meet the folks from Ariana and Evans, Barrister and Mann, Captain's Choice, Caties Bubbles, Chiseled Face, Declaration Grooming, MER Shaving, Noble Otter, Oleo Soapworks, TTFFC,  and Wholly Kaw along with Peter of Wolfman Razors and  Matt of Razor Emporium/Rex Supply Razors. It was quite an event. While I remember them clearly, I am sure none of them remember me. There were too many people there.
