I agree that of all things in my rotation that the GD pre may be one of if not the most indispensable product for me.

I had a terrible shave yesterday. I was using a “new to me” razor and it cut me all over the place.  It was an open comb design and I just wasn’t used to it.

So this morning, I needed a good shave to get me back to a comfortable, smooth and healed face.  Therefore, I pulled out the best gear and soap in my den:  Grooming Dept. Nai base Aion, Mozingo ZT1 brush and a Karve Stainless Razor.  The shave was excellent and set me up right.

Made a crazy frankenlather just now with Asinus and an unscented Mallard prototype I was using. Just loaded some of each from the tub before I face lathered. No idea if combining these two bases into a lather helped or hurt the desirable characteristics that each offers but the end result was off the charts nuts.

I have used Asinus with Mallard soaps before getting good results

It might be my most indispensable shaving product, hopefully we get a restock soon.

I hope so as well..
I've been using mine more often lately.
At first, I treated it as if it was a soap performance enhancer, and didn't really notice much of a difference, so I stopped using it for a while.
After picking it back up again, I've come to realize that it's a fantastic product for protecting and nourishing the skin.
When I do use it, the post shave effects are significantly noticeable.
I may get the odd weeper without it, and my skin doesn't feel as.......TLC'd. When using it, my skin feels much better after the shave.
Great product!
I'm at about the 1/2 tub level now on GD pre-shave.  I've been trying to stretch it out lately.  When I first used it, I used lots and applied before each pass.  I've found that I only really need it before the second XTG pass and I use much less.  I don't think my shaves suffer from the rationing and it lasts much longer.  The first pass WTG doesn't really need it and there is enough residual for the last ATG pass.  I'm also using less of the post shave serum, 4 drops, 4 drops only.

My level is roughly the same and, due to the fact that I now use a touch before each pass (I skip WTG) it won't be long before I'll have to source a replenishment.
I definitely need some more serum as well. I had Vetiver but QUICKLY discovered that I can not STAND that scent note. Haha.
On the positive side, I discovered what it was that I didn't like about a scent from a variety of artisan soaps.
Now, if I see Vetiver in the list......I RUN!  Big Grin

My GD collection is sadly down to 2 tubs, but I brought out my best soap today and had an absolute banga of a shave.

For some reason, I couldn't attach the pic to my last post, so here it is.
Now that I know that J&C will be released again, I can use this tub a little more liberally. Amazing scent.......[Image: HEb8ncM.jpg]
