I’m looking forward to hearing your thoughts. Mo’s old Mallard Base is one of my personal favorites so I’m excited to see what he’s done with this new Base.

Mohammad sent me this to try out. This should be pretty much close to the production version that is coming out soon. I have to say I am very impressed. Even when testing kairos I was never really super impressed with it, but this one has me excited. The most unctuous, dense and SLICK soap I’ve ever used. Excellent post shave without any heaviness or greasiness. The AS was strictly for scent. This soap doesn’t need it. Looking forward to this drop.

I can’t post photos for some reason. Check insta if you have an acct there.

My shave with Kairos Amare today confirmed some of my most important expectations.  The Pre was hot water only.  Aside from fragrance, the post was nothing but the application of left over lather, painted on and allowed to sit for a few minutes during clean up.  As many have come to expect from Grooming Dept, the post shave was excellent.  IMO it is worth emphasizing that not only was the post shave excellent, but all the heavy lifting was done by the soap!

[Image: wGZ8N7g.jpg]Mallard 5.3 test sample arrived in the mail today.  I can’t wait to whirl those soft gel Paladin tips into the soap and take a luxurious 4-5 minutes to build a lather. I am hearing good things about the new Mallard.

For me, if well formulated (like Formula Nai V1 and better V2), vegetable soaps have superior skin conditioning capabilities.
They work slower, but deeper.
The problem with Rud's tests is that they are single uses.

My dermatitis after a few days of continuous use of Aion V1 has practically disappeared.
Only a soap created specifically for me, with a pharmaceutical technique, had succeeded previously.

I don't think Ruds' Kairos review was based on a single use.  At about 4:55 ff he says that he has been "testing this [Kairos tallow] for about a week now".  I find it no surprise that Ruds carefully considered things before giving Kairos Tallow his highest shave score to date.  Nevertheless and FWIW, it is no surprise to me that for many shavers, Otium performs better and has perhaps an even nicer scent. --  Happy shaves my friend!

You're right.

I read the reviews of Rud directly on Reddit.
I don't listen to videos.

He evidently improved his modus operandi.
In its ranking there are products (reviewed at the beginning) that are unfairly sacrificed.
I know many of them well, especially Europeans.

I'm glad he's now so painstaking.
It would be fun if he did all his reviews again.
It often happens to me after years to totally change my mind.
Usually, mediocre soaps I notice that they are good.
And soaps that were already good, I realize that they are excellent.

Really wonder whether he will have a video for Otium. I like Otium even more than Kairos. It is the best soap I have ever tried.
