On the off chance that Shawn checks out this thread I just want to thank you Shawn for everything you've done for wet shaving and for me personally.  I can still recall our early email conversations when I was considering placing an order with you in the middle of a Canadian January winter and I was concerned about freezing - you allayed my concerns and I ordered several of your products.  I still recall that first sniff of Bon Vivant - my eyebrows went up...whats this I smell?  Do I like this?  I splashed it on and fell in love with it and pretty much everything else you produced.  The unique fragrances, the rich toners and the awesome aftershaves (and lets not forget your TeaTree Roborant!) - and you have always been so approachable and friendly.  I remember working with you in the development of Blackberry Blossom Bay and despite the fact that you have no love of bay rum you were able to produce a unique, beautiful bay inspired scent that I find addictive.  A true artist with an obvious love for the art.  I could go on but I'll leave it at thank you Shawn and best of luck in your perfuming adventures, I know that you have left your aftershave line in good hands with Scott at Declaration Grooming and I'm excited to see how the future unfolds.  Happy2

This is my feeling as well. I checked with Shawn when he made his announcement and he confirmed that Scott will be using his own base. So I stocked up on a few aftershaves with the CG base to keep me in stock for a while. (This is not to say I won't buy the DG aftershave. I'm contemplating buying Champs de Lavande - a favorite of mine - in both the soap and the AS.)

In case anyone missed the live yesterday, there will be a new Shawn scent in Milksteak this weekend, named ";", with a fresh laundry and lavender scent. All proceeds go to charity, and an accompanying raffle on Monday for some sweet stuff.

I checked out the live this morning not live and saw that.  Who is going to win that giant brush?

I’m not familiar with the “live.” How do I find it?

If you have a Facebook or Instagram account, just go to the Declaration page and watch it. Whichever is the most recent video.

Here's a summary of Scott's video announcement:  he started with “Mental health awareness matters”. To that end, he's running 2 fundraising events to raise money for mental health-related charity.

THE CHARITY

Project semicolons is/was the intended recipient of all proceeds, but now The Jed Foundation is also included. Both organizations promote mental/emotional health. Charity will be confirmed

THE EVENTS

1 - Declaration semicolon soap and aftershave

• Scent created by Hawns - the smell of fresh laundry with lavender
• Frag for both soap and a/s donated by Hawns - he made it then gave it away!
• Regular Declaration pricing, with 100% of profit going to charity
• Drops tomorrow, Saturday, at noon Eastern on Declaration website

2 - Raffles for charity

• Starting on Monday and ending Tuesday
• Unlimited $1 spots for all the prizes in one pool (winners choice of prize, then second, etc. Max 1 prize per person)
• Raffles administered by Ben (Mammoth) at Website will be updated

RAFFLE PRIZES

Declaration

• B1 and B2 Declaration brooshes - the last of each of these knots ever. The back-up emergency last supply of these two batches will go into these two brushes, in one-off blue/white/dank swirled Declaration handles
• B10 knots - this will likely be the first release of the new batch. Since there's still a good amount of B9A remaining, these B10 knots will be the only B10 in circulation for some time

Dogwood Handcrafts

• Dogwood Behemoth - at 75mm this brush will bring BDE to your shave den
• Dogwood Jurassic - the one-of-a-kind 2-bug Jurassic with authentic Crane Fly Sex captured in amber resin... and it will be knitted with a Declaration
• Dogwood Brush-in-a-brush aka Brushception - yo dawg, we heard you like shave brushes...

Wolf Whiskers

• More details to follow, but there is a WW brush included... and it will be knitted with a Declaration

SUMMARY

While I hate the misuse of raffles and cause marketing for greedy purposes, I love when they're used for good and the community can rally to support a great cause. Led by Scott, with significant donations from Phteven (Dogwood), Peter (Wolf_Whiskers), and Hawns (CL, Meher Olfactive), and volunteer time+effort by Ben (Mammoth) this charity event(s) is set up for success. I'm only making this summary comment, so as you can see some of the details will need to be updated from Scott and Ben.

Buy your sets tomorrow, and your raffle slots after the weekend! Thanks for reading and thanks in advance for your support.
