It's probably the best I ever had. It had just the right amount of crunch/crispiness and it was fully and evenly cooked from tip to bottom. Needless to say I devoured all of it. All I did was use olive oil, kosher salt and pepper.

Adding 1 to 3 TBSP of oil is always recommended to enhance the crispiness and overall flavor. Adding the oil, even in a tiny amount helps secure and keep the seasoning from falling off. You're still using less oil than stir frying or deep frying. If you don't use any oil then it's at least recommended to spray or oil the tray or bottom of the air fryer's basket. Whatever you do, never use PAM spray as it will destroy and flake the non stick. Only use a non-propellant 100% oil spray or just use a silicone basting brush to apply your cooking oil.

I convinced the wife that the old toaster/broiler is on it's last legs. Not too far fetched but it's also not that old. It has pressure sensitive "buttons" that are just not working up to snuff. OK, plus I need the old one in the shop for things that can't be "baked" indoors. So I decided to go with a new unit that also dehydrates small quantities (I have a mega dehydrator) and also air fries. Breville was among the 2 top choices, but one didn't list air frying in it's repertoire and the one that did was far more than I wanted to spend (Breville "Air" @ $400). Fingers crossed regarding it. Oh, and no buttons. Phooey on buttons!

If had the space and need for a larger sized AF that would have been my choice too. It'll work just fine. Keeps us updated.

Did not know that the Pam pressurized type spray would destroy nonstick. A better check into some other form of spraying oil.

Max Sprecher , use the same recipe but substitute broccoli. I picked up a Ninja air fryer and my wife and I love the roasted broccoli and sprouts. We definitely need to try the asparagus.

BTW, if you're looking for "little" less healthy option, mix cream cheese with shredded Mexican cheese (or other shredded cheese of your choice). Use tortilla shells as a wrap and you can make your own fried wonton. Be sure to use oil or butter on the outer part of the shell though...i had to learn that lesson the hard way Smile

It definitely flakes the non stick used in many of the Air Fryers which is mostly Teflon. I've seen many pictures and complaints on Amazon from users who have no clue and blame the product.  If you're gonna use PAM use it on SS, Carbon.... Anything but a non-stick pan.
