Well I received my Coconut Fig soap set last week and after sniffing it multiple times and using it twice to shave I think I can safely say that I get no coconut or a fig in the opening. I do get bitter almond like scent in my face though.

In the drydown however I find some fig somewhere but it's not as pronounced as the name suggests.

I was however pleasantly surprised to notice that the drydown smells bit like BDK Gris Charnel Extrait which is a well blended fig scent along with other nuances.

Overall an okayish scent.

Scent so personal - think it a masterpiece.

Tonne of coconut with just the right hint of fig. The best suntan lotion ever!  No bitter almond whatsoever to my nose - are you folk stirring it about after opening. Found it does appear to layer in the container.

Jag, same experience - I have several fig EDPs.... and don't get the fruit or the green fig bits in this at all. I wonder if my batch was mislabeled and should have been a toasted almond. So shavers can benefit from these posts - this is not similar to LJDJ's or A&E's fig. It to my nose is a roasted toasted almond - be even tonka. As Dan Magnolia mentioned, scent is very individual and hard to get consensus. I have my shavers in this thread who have similar noses to me- and can in general, follow there likes and dislikes with solid results.

Dan I am talking about the soap puck which throws a bitter/burnt almond aroma. Aftershave is better comparatively.

As am I. Have 3 pucks and all are exquisite but have stirred all three. Also scoop and bowl lather exclusively.

Perhaps the extreme temperatures experienced during the time of manufacture and, especially, shipping impacted this. Once stirred, the layering has not returned and the scents magnificent
