New Mallard Base: impressions follow....

°No fig or creamy coconut off the puck

°Upon lathering, almond, burnt toast, butterscotch, honey

°After first pass, opened up - toasted coconut, no fig

°After second pass, browned- pan seared coconut, fig?

°After 3rd pass, coconut pie, hints of ripe fig lurking in back

°Great slick, low profile okra snot like lather, Omnibus reminiscent

°Huge overfilled tub

°Dark dark puck

°Duck fat soap, sold out everywhere

°Lather looks like latté in color

°Great container and art work

°A fall winter soap - definitely a gourmand

°Pairs perfectly with National Hômme

Thank you for your feedback! I'm happy to hear you enjoyed the soap. The scent is quite layered—my goal was to create a jammy fig with hints of green fig (I do feel/get this note, strongly too), all wrapped in a honey-drenched gourmand profile.

I apologize if I didn't clarify earlier, but this scent wasn't intended to be a re-release of the older Sandalwood Fig.

Mo, glad you did not. I have the Sandalwood Fig .
It is a nice addition to anyone's inventory as a gourmand fig. I finally have an edp that works with National Hômme. The best attribute is the lather! Great stuff

Thank you so much for your business, George!

I'm particular about chocolate. The Raspberry Gateau turned out amazing! Creating that rich chocolate flavor-like note in a high pH environment was challenging, but it came out beautifully! Smile

I agree! A well-crafted fragrance in a soap or aftershave is very much like a fine crafted wine. There are layers of depth and complexity. Not all shaving products have that complexity, but Aion Skincare products do. That is why I love having them in my shave den.

Loved the Mallard artwork and the lather was good but the Coconut Fig wasn't Coconut or Fig. Layered Genius Scent Crafting.......pulease. I feel you should get the scents it's named as and is candidly displayed throughout the label art. Feel free to throw tomatoes now but I call them like I see smell them. Let's be honest.... At least in the Peaches and Cream I get the Peaches.

Nice try Dave you're probably sitting over there with your baseball glove on waiting for tomatoes to be thrown.
