The first time, I had to add a lot more soap because I had too much water in it, but the second and third attempts were much quicker, and it works better with a very loose synthetic brush, a clear advantage for the Mühle Silvertip Fibre knot.
The lather is simply fantastic, typical of Aion, nice and dense, and it really only needs a minute to sit before I could start shaving. The glide is absolutely top-notch, and there's plenty of ghost lather, so you can go over the same spot a second and third time. The post-shave care is really good. I waited an extra hour this morning before applying the matching aftershave because after the Aion Mango AS, my skin feels a bit sticky, but that disappears after 1-2 hours.
My conclusion is very positive. If you're looking for a strongly fruity-tropical scented shaving soap (croap) with optimal glide and conditioning properties, the Aion Mallard Mango is a great choice. I'd be happy to hear from others about the new Mallard base shaving soaps."
