Comparison #7

Timeless SSSlim vs. Timeless Ti95OC

Blade: Wizamet Super Iridium

SSSlim Blade Gap: .5mm • Blade Exposure: 0.05mm
Ti95OC Blade Gap: 0.95mm • Blade Exposure: 0.05mm

Again, 2 razors from the same company. However, they are very different designs. The SSSlim is considered by Timeless to be very aggressive/efficient. The 95OC is considered to be mild/medium. I feel both assessments are accurate. But, how do they compare face to face? See what I did there? We shall see.

Impressions:

Both razors are smooth and comfortable for me. On my WTG pass, the SSSlim definitely exhibits a bit more of a blade forward feel. Not by any means threatening, but it is more pronounced than the Ti95OC. With the .95OC I almost really didn’t notice any blade on this pass.
XTG feel was similar to me. Both razors achieved a DFS or better after 2 passes. For those of you who do not chase the BBS, I’m sure this would be satisfactory for most. You could definitely wrap it up here. Not me, though. Haha!!!
ATG, perhaps not surprisingly the 95OC exhibited more blade feel than the SSSlim. Again, not threatening, but noticeable.
I found the SSSlim to be a little smoother on my neck area and it more easily maneuverable under my nose. I do find the 95OC a little more comfortable under the nose, though.

My Conclusion:

This is a bit of a mixed bag for me personally. Combined, they could be a perfect razor!!! If you prefer less/no blade feel, the Ti95 OC could be your choice if you are a 2 pass shaver. If you like a little blade feel but prefer a smoother ATG for 3 pass shave, you might go for the SSSlim. Both will get you where you want you need to go.
There was virtually no burning or stinging  posts have with the alcohol based A/S, so neither seems to have gotten too close or went too deep.
Personally, I just prefer heavier razors, so I like the SSSlim. Despite the minor differences in shave, I still think I prefer the SSSlim for the way it shaves. Both are great. The decision is yours!!!

P.S. -- I forgot to mention the Ti95 is also available in a safety bar for those who might not prefer the open comb.
