I would like know how they compare.

That is actually a great idea. I do own both. I believe the Blackbird Ti is handy. I'll just have to double check later to make sure, there was some rearranging done recently in some things that I haven't seen in a long time showed up and others are still being sought after. But I am pretty sure that one is available. If memory serves me correct, I think the timeless is possibly going to be a little bit smoother or at least more comfortable for most people due to the more pronounced blade feel that I know the Blackbird is known for. Not uncomfortably so, but it is noticeable. We will see!

Thank you! Just my personal experiences, but I figured some may be interested in how some of these compare. Some of them are very efficient, but maybe a little bit too much for some people. Others are still quite efficient while still being very comfortable and would likely appeal to those who want something efficient, but prefer razors more in the mild to medium range.

Sounds good.
Re: aluminum razors, I agree. Sometimes I use it with a steel handle to boost the weight.

It is definitely not a Lupo. I wa sunder the impression for some reason it was a Razorock. I know my GC and Lupos are engraved with the names and specs. I would assume they did that will all their plates? It looks to me like it could be a BBS, but it has no such indication ro markings on it.

That looks like a Razorock aluminum Baby Smooth.  I think I might have one. I know I have a Ti Baby Smooth.

IB didn’t mark his earlier Razorock razors so if you didn’t write down the make and model and have a bad memory you’re going to be posting here asking members what you have! Smile

I've actually been choosing between diamond back and wr2 lately, if I get a chance I'd like to see a comparison of the two, thanks a lot.But I'm not sure db is an aggressive razor.

Personally, I'm not familiar with either razor. I mean, I definitely know what they are, but I have no experience with them.

Understood. But still, I look forward to your next comparisons, and maybe someday I'll see both razors.

I do have it readily available. I'm planning on shaving again on Tuesday, so hopefully I will make this comparison. Then, as these are the only two titanium razors I think I have off the top of my head. And they both fall into the medium/aggressive categories, so they definitely fit the bill.

Comparison #4

Blackland Blackbird Ti vs. Timeless Ti 0.95OC
Blade: Wizamet Super Iridium
Blackbird Efficiency: 8.5/10 * Blade Feel: 7.5/10
Timeless Ti 0.95OC Blade Gap. .95mm * Blade Exposure: .050

Titanium Tuesday took place!!! This was a good suggestion by @g.marcio. Two great, efficient razors and I didn't have anything lined up in Ti vs Ti. Both are favorites of mine for different reasons. I will just sum up those reasons and leave it to interpretation based on others preferences as to which may suit them best.

Impressions:

Both razors are very efficient. The Timeless I will say felt smoother to me than the Blackbird. I have said this time and time again, the Timeless Ti is such an incredibly smooth razor. Then Blackbird definitely has the advantage if you’d do like blade feel. They both have nice audible feedback, a little bit more so from the Blackbird. They both handle and maneuver well, though the Timeless handle is a bit on the thicker side. Not a problem for me, but I have seen this as a chief “complaint” about the Timeless handles. The Timeless was a little more comfy under my nose for me with the little to no blade feel.

They are both efficient, perhaps equally so for me after each pass, until the third. After finishing the third pass, the Blackbird required one spot of touch up. It was under my glasses which could have just not been properly shave day me more so than the razor. Other than that, it needed none. The Timeless did need some minor touch up, but it was minimal.

Post shave the Blackbird side has just a slight, quickly fading burn from the alcohol based A/S. The Timeless had virtually no burn I could detect. Both sides were close, no redness, no nicks or cuts, and no irritation. Just the way I like it.

My Conclusion:

I love both razors. There is no real “winner” here for me. They are both a bit different, and that is also why I like them both. I like the Blackbird for the blade feel when I’m in the mood and I love the Timeless for the smoothness when I’m in the mood. For you, it will come down to your preference. If you want efficiency and smoothness, Timeless wins. It you want maybe a smidge more efficiency and don’t mind some blade feel, the Blackbird is the way to go.

Comparison #5
RR GC 105-P vs RR Lupo 127
Blade: Wizamet Super Iridium
GC105-P Blade Gap: 1.05 • Blade Exposure: Positive
Lupo 127 Blade Gap: 1.27 • Blade Exposure: Positive

This comparison just seemed natural. Kind of like I had to. Two different razor lines and designs from the same company. And their specs aren't that far off from each other. Both razors in my experiencehave been known for being efficient, smooth shavers. I must specify, I had the Lupo .95OC, before I added the 127. I know they do make loop smaller gaps so I'm not sure how those perform. Also prior to this, I had the .84 GC in the straight bar and the open comb.

Impressions:

From the get-go, both razors, shaved very smoothly. They're both smooth and very comfortable. I'm not sure if the game changer is smoother or if it's just a slight little bit less blade feel that it possesses. It definitely felt smoother, almost as if I was using a razor that didn't really have any blade feel. Not that the Lupo by any means felt super aggressive, but it did feel a little bit more scrapey than the GC did. Not in a bad way. At least not for me. Just enough to let me know I’m shaving, not so much as to be uncomfortable.

They both performed well under the nose for me, but a GC was noticeably more comfortable and a little bit more maneuverable for me. Not to insinuate that the Lupo is by any means clunky, but the game changer head does seem a bit more streamlined. I think that is what allowed me to maneuver it and move it around more easily with what seemed like a little bit more room to work.
My Conclusion:

In the end, both got me where I wanted to be without the need for touchups. (As I'm sitting here about five hours or so later, the Lupo side feels just a smidge on the smoother side, so maybe some light touchups with the GC would have helped.) I do think the Lupo 127 possesses a little bit more efficiency than the GC does, but I don't think it's by a landslide.

When applying the alcohol based a/S, it was virtually no burn or anything on the GameChanger side, and it was just a quick, slight little jolt from the loop side. I would think this would likely indicate that the Lupo shaved perhaps just a little bit closer. But it was by no means an objectionable burn, and it was gone as quickly as it had appeared. Very minor.

So, there you have it. Both great razors, both efficient with the edge in smoothness going to the Game Changer 1.05P. It's kind of another one Lowe's what you prefer conclusions. You can go with the GC for smooth and efficient, or if you want that edge on more efficiency, you can go with the Lupo and just a smidge of blade feel.

Comparison #6

Karve CB SB-G vs. Karve CB OC-G

Blade: Wizamet Super Iridium

SB-G Blade Gap: 1.36mm • Blade Exposure: 0.25mm
OC-G Blade Gap: 1.36mm • Blade Exposure: 0.25mm

Two plates. Same brand, same specs. One a straight bar, one open comb.  I’m hoping since they are the same specs I can see if there is any more efficiency to the open comb version over the straight bar.

Impressions:

On the first pass, they both feel pretty smooth and comfortable. I can't really say that the open comb feels more aggressive or scrapey on my face, even the second pass felt similar with both plates. I will say it definitely feels more aggressive and scrapey under my nose. Maybe it's just something that you would feel on more sensitive areas. Maybe being they are the exact same specs, same geometry, and made by the same company, that's why I really don't feel a difference. I don't know.

Checking my face after the second pass, I can't say that I noticed one plate or the other being more efficient. Closeness felt very similar unless one was closer by some kind of micro measurement that I couldn't feel. Even so, it would be negligible.

My Conclusion:

So tough to call. If the open comb is more efficient or aggressive, I really didn’t feel it. Other than under my nose they were both smooth and comfortable. No nicks, no irritation. Even with the alcohol based aftershave, there was no burn at all on either side, so I don’t believe the open comb got any closer or shaved any deeper than the straight bar. If you were debating on either, my thought would be to go with the basic reasons most list to go open comb.

1. You don’t shave often.
2. You have thick, coarse, or long hair.
3. To allow lather and hair to flow through more easily. Especially with more growth they will clog less and that means less rinsing.

Even with those reasons I find it hard to believe you would be mad with the straight bar. It gets the job done. In conclusion, I believe I have proved nothing. You are welcome.
