We are blessed to live in a part of the US known for foliage. We enjoy views out our window that "leaf peepers" drive hundreds of miles to see.

The price of that beauty is fall clean up duty. My wife and I started today.

She uses a backpack blower to put the leaves in large winrows.

The side yard has a hollow and she blows the leaves into that low spot.

We have a tow behind leaf vacuum. I park it by the piles of leaves and rake them into the intake.

This is part of the drive where the leaves accumulate due to the prevailing winds.

The vacuum makes light work of the area.

When the collection bin is full we dump it over the bank at the end of the driveway

Note the leaves littering the driveway.

This is the driveway at the end of the day.

And the yard looks much better too!

I ran out of energy and willpower before I vacuumed all the piles ML created.  We will finish up next weekend. Hopefully the stragglers still on the trees will have all fallen by then.

I feel your pain Phil. I did leaf duty all day on Saturday too. Our neighborhood has a lot of large trees which makes for a lot of leaves to deal with. Luckily, the city comes by with trucks that vacuum them up so all we have to do is deposit them at the curb.

I deal with the autumn leaves with a chainsaw. Short trees don't deposit many and leaves and tall trees a suitable distance away don't either. The few that do fall where I need to deal with them the lawnmower handles.
