Another one that takes the Artist Club blades. Why won't somebody make a modern SE that uses GEM blades?? For the life of me I can't figure it out. Oh well. That certainly does look like a nice razor, but I'll pass. Thanks for the heads up though. I'm sure a lot of folks here will be interested.

Thanks for the notification! I had the chance to hold one recently. It seems very well constructed, but I can't yet speak to how it shaves.

I think it might have something to do with the way the razors need to be designed due to the spine on the GEM blades. I could be wrong though, of course!

Thanks for posting the link andrewjs18.

NeoXerxes thanks for the insight. Really like the design of the handle.

I'm hoping this razor will be stocked by some vendors in the UK soon.

Sure! Stan clearly knows what he is doing. I met him along with a few other razor manufacturers at a recent event, and he was by far the most impressive.

His ATT S1 and S2 models are my current daily drivers, so naturally the SE is of interest to me.

It's a matter of economics. There is a lot more choice of blades with the AC type razors. Manufacturers are in it to make a profit.

When it is available in just the head (I don't need the handle), I plan on buying this along with the OneBlade in order to do a side by side test. Fortunately both offer 30 day risk free return policies.
