I like the Feather AS-D2 and Wolfman with the standard blade gap. I want to buy an ATT razor but I am having a hard time deciding between the two plates.

Any suggestions?

Stan recommended the M plate.  Such a sharp looking razor.

If you like the Feather ASD2 then the M1 plate is likely the best choice. The R is not as smooth in my opinion. I tried both and got better shaves with the M1.

I just ordered the Calypso R1. I'm looking forward to trying this one out.

I have a Kronos 5 piece closed comb set. My daily go to plate a the R I think it is an excellent every day plate. I use the M when it is a suite and tie evening and I need a touch up (single pass).

Please post up your thoughts on the ATT Aluminum. I thought mine would be arriving shortly but it appears my order will be in the next round shipping on 12/1

I also have an AS-D2 and a Wolfman SB-1 standard gap along with the ATT Bronze set. I prefer the R1 because it is closer to the Wolfman. I only use the AS-D2 when I want to go easy on my face. BTW, the AS-D2 only works with a Feather blade for me.

Thank you everyone for the input. My razor is on backorder and should arrive in less than two weeks from now.

is the bottom plate being blue something new with ATT? if so, I love the contrasting look!
