Ask them before send your razor. As far as I know, Back Roads Gold is plating 24K gold & polishing as $65.
You mean brass, I think. A lot of vintage Gillette's are brass and take plating well. AFAIK, you can't plate SS. I may be wrong but I dont think so.

SS, too. I attached the Razor Emporium service pic.
Also Rocnel has gold plated his SS razor, too.

I have this razor--Rocnel 2019 Elite--with the Aggressive plate, in stainless. It's a magnificent piece of work, and a tremendously efficient razor without a lot of blade feel. It's fun to see the gold version.

Chris of Back Roads Gold has done some excellent work for me in the past. I would recommend him if you need replating and clean ups of any vintage razors.

Hhmm, certainly not.

It's gold plated, not gold made. Gillette did this decades ago and their premium TTO models still look much better than this 150g. thing.
My sentiment exactly and below a photo of

Not to derail thread, but I dont think the red tip was ever offered in gold. Nice razor, but a replate, no?

ROCNEL has also begun to offer these luxury services
