A wellappreciated member of the dutch forum found this duo of CV Heljestrand MK32 razors on a fleamarket. Him not being a straightrazorguy, he asked me to fix them up a bit.
I decided not to take them apart, the scales are so fine and thin I was afraid I'd damagethem (as it is, one came damaged already, as you can see on the pictures). Some staining still remains, but the razors turned out pretty well.
The box is a Kindall box, which was a Swedish reseller in Paris who sold (and at times rebranded0 a lot of Heljestrand. One of the razors was honed noticably different from the other: the bevel is wider, more pressure was put on the toe, so I was getting the idea they were owned but at least honed by different persons.
After cleaning this turned out to be true: one of the razors is etched on the back with a floral pattern and the word "Mercredi" whih is french for wednesday. The other razor in netched.
Later this week I will hone them and have a few testshaves.
