Mint scents are good for summer, too.

I just got Thayers cucumber and love it. Since I want to get a soap commander soap anyway, I should try out motivation.  Is it a strong scent?  I do like PAA and considered Cucumber but was afraid it would be really light in scent strength.

Elvado - Wild Mint Lime - Wonderful citrus with a touch of calming mint
If you like Menthol with your citrus Id suggest Stirling Margaritas in the Arctic or Queen Charlotte Soaps Iced Key Lime.

I have never heard of Elvado.  It sounds great.
The stirling I think I want to try is chilled pineapple.  It just sounds wonderful.

With all the responses for soap commander, I should start another thread about them  Something like, what soap commander soap is best as a summer soap.  And what soap commander soap is the strongest scent.  Thats important to me.

I wouldn't say that either Soap Commander Motivation or PAA Cucumber are strong scents, but both are pleasant. The Phoenix is just plain cucumber. The Soap Commander isn't quite as bright and fresh. It's described as cucumber and bamboo. One note I should have mentioned, though - I actually used Petal Pusher Fancies Cucumber before PPF and Synergy combined into Phoenix, so I'm not positive that the Phoenix is the exact same scent.

The only citrusy soap I've tried and enjoyed so far is Razorock The Freedberg. I think it was a limited production, so it might be hard to find and/or cost a little more than other Razorock soaps. The scent doesn't linger very well after the shave either.

Thayers Cucumber is addictive.  If Motivation is comparable, I would forget the rest of my soaps.

I am not a big citrus guy, but I just got soap commander samples yesterday and shaved with vision this morning. I could not imagine a better summer soap and aftershave combination. The soap is sweet, fruity, and pepperminty but somehow remains manly smelling, which I appreciate (I may have a complex idk). Then the aftershave balm hits like a thousand cold pillows and your face feels great. Vision is my vote for your summer soap.

A couple good soaps I haven't seen mentioned yet are Reef Point Sublime and Maggard's Lime and Bergamot. The reef point sublime has a nice lemon/lime scent and bit of menthol. Maggard's lime and bergamot has really nice crisp lime scent. Both have performed well for me.

Vision has got to be my favorite summer soap.  Although I wish it had a pinch of menthol, the peppermint oil does a nice job of cooling the face.

You can press a few menthol crystals into the surface of the soap. I did that with my Soap Commander and it works well.

I haven't had a chance to try either soapmaker yet so thanks for the heads up.  Wink
