4 Fat boys and 7 Slims

we're not going to modify the rules to codify every little thing here and there...that turns into a mess and creates a long list of rules that no one will read anyhow.

I like the KISS principle and that's how I hope the forum rules will remain. if someone doesn't like the price, they can move on. if I were a buyer for a fatboy or slim, I'd consider the prices to be on a higher side and just move on. no big deal.

Another reason I like DFS...we don't need codified rules to act like gentlemen.  Free market economies regulate themselves, if you don't want to pay for that product...don't.

I get the "don't want it, don't pay for it" aspect...but sometimes members want to comment if the price or product is questionable, to give them a heads up.

In this situation, the OP listed with no prices, said he was hoping people would "make an offer", I explained how I felt about it, he replied and the comments went from there. I never comment on the prices and was addressing the OP's comment of why he didn't get any takers on his "make an offer".

I have no horse in the race but part of a self regulating economy is self regulating.

I can't really comment on the prices nor would I as the pics don't really give me a clear idea of condition.

Nonetheless, GLWTS a Slim and/or Fatboy is a must have for everyone in my opinion.

This is what I wonder if I had listed the same razors for $10 each would anyone be complaining about pricing. Or would I have more takers than razors.

Could my pricing be lower? Could I have done a few things differently? Yes to both. My assumption was many would try to haggle with the prices giving me room to wiggle. Some did others did not. I will add the knowledge to the journal.

In all fairness, before it was escalated to be a big problem, OP added the prices shortly after he was first questioned about the price.
Yes, he said he was hoping for people to make an offer, but he corrected his wrong(if there was any) by adding a price.  

Now what seems to be the problem is his price.


Items can be priced in three different ways.

1. over-priced
2. priced accordingly to market value
3. under-priced 

Who's to say that $45 and $75 are over-priced for fatboys and slims?  It all depends.
That is his asking price and if you want to haggle, you are free to haggle with him.
I don't know the conditions of his fatboys and slims, but if they were in great condition, whether he acquired them for $20 each or not, $75/45 would have been fair price.

So if anyone has something to say about the prices, you all need to find out the condition of the razors first, then complain (or haggle if you would like).



If you think the price is ridiculous for the condition of said razor, then this is not your lucky day, move on.

I've got a rocket flat tip for 35€, three weeks ago, used for three shaves and have sent it to make some works to a British craftsman. At the end it will go far beyond this prices. And never will shave as well as my Mühle R89 or my ATT Atlas M2, neither. But it's so thrilled...

So where the heck are we on this. I would like to see each razor, clearly photographed with a price. OP?

OP two quick questions.

1. Will you entertain offers?
2. Have you done anything, such as cleaning/polishing, to add value to these items?

I hope you (and others) see where I'm coming from with those questions and it aids in burying the drama and enables us to get back to buying/selling

Late to the party here. I may need my eyes checked, but I don't see 4/7. I see 3/8. What am I missing?
