My thoughts on Shark Bite, which as of right now is still available on 345's web site.

I recieved a few free samples ( Shark Bite, and White Buffalo) have only used White Buffalo so far but plan on many more shaves with this artisan. The samples come in a bigger container than most and are about the size of some of the B&M ones they passed out at the Maggard Meet (Terror, and the Strawberry one) so a sample should provide many more shaves than a normal sample.

The scent of White Buffalo reminded me of CF Sherlock at first, it had a dirty grassy quality that is just awesome and very unexpected once i checked the scent components. Paired well with B&M Fougere Gothique.

The soap itself is on the softer side and the brush ate it up almost immediately. Lather started off a bit bubbly but with some water addition it got to the correct consistency. The shave went well and felt nice on the skin. Residual slickness was decent and buffing was no problem. If i had to say something negative it would be that the soap rinsed away clean making touch ups tough after a rinse, which is no big deal since most of us do touch ups before rinsing. Plus this soap does not leave a greasy residue behind which is a plus. So far i really like this artisan and will be using the other one in the near future.

My Fresh Cut Fade showed up today. Another awesome cologne scent.

I had a similar problem when I wasn't loading enough soap. Load heavy and use more than needed, completely changes the feel of the soap

I used a good size amount of soap, more than usual just for innitial impressions to make sure to give it a fair shot. It did make a great lather with a quickness similar to the old Tiki soaps which also lather almost instantly. This is a good thing IMO as like you said you would rather have too much soap than not enough, cant even remember the last time i had to re-load the brush during a shave. These artisans have really stepped their game up the past few years, it is truly a great time to be a wet shaver!

Does anyone know how it is that it keeps such a low price? Do not get me wrong, I really like it only that, comparing it with other soaps that have so few ingredients and that have a much higher price for 4oz as is that the soaps of this artisan have that price for 5.8 oz and with those ingredients that I suppose are not nothing cheap.

Jon is committed to charging the prices he's personally comfortable paying for a soap.

There are a handful of companies out here that do a good job of providing an awesome value for a great product. Probably the two best are Stirling and 345. For the scent, the performance and the amount of product you get, I'm not sure that either of these brands can be topped.

I am not sure why 345 can perform the way it does, with its array of unique scents for its price per ounce but I will continue to sing the brand's praises because its super impressive.

Kind of interested in these soaps, but they don’t have a scent I can use. Here’s my problem:

I am very allergic to cedar and juniper, and moderately allergic to sandalwood. I dislike leather scents and I dislike smoky scents.

I don’t see a single scent profile on their site that I could use and enjoy. Oh well, I have too much soap as it is.

He does like to use Sandalwood in a lot of them, which is probably one of the reasons I tend to like so many of his scents. His unscented soap is coming out on Saturday if you want to check out the base.
