How are you liking the new brush?

I am liking it! If given the choice, I would have set the loft a little lower, but great performer!

With the shim removed and a single Tian Li, the Saiver yielded a noisy but safe, near flawless beard and head shave. All is forgiven.[Image: acb1648476d1a47f7e74895a45d003ac.jpg]

Schick L3 razor
Personna blade
JR #85 brush
CO Bigelow SC
Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
Barbasol Brisk A/S w/added menthol

Not sure how many shave are on the L3/Personna combo, it didn't matter cuz the shave was great. Smooth, very comfortable and close, that's what we're looking for. So, I'm ready to go for sure. Now go enjoy your day folks

Have A Great Day!

Beautiful gear and pic, TheHunter

The Charcoal Level 2 SB is my go-to razor these days, and like you, I have the Magnum Handle on it, which I really like.

I go back and forth on whether I like the 'weathered look'. When I look at your picture, I think, yes! that's the way it should look. But then when I look at my razor, I think it might be nice to restore it to the original looks.

How do you like the 'weathered look'?

Thanks!

An awesome set up! Could you please share your opinion on the CM/HB soap?

Thank you!
Alex

Thank you!

Unfortunately I can not offer much opinion in the way of scent. I woke up this morning with my allergies in overdrive. When I opened it yesterday I was able to detect hints of lemon and rosemary. From what everyone has stated it really blooms fragrance wise once lathered and its elegantly complex. Hope to find out soon lol.

Performance wise it's excellent! Easy to lather, nice slickness and cushion, and a nice post shave feel. Lather was like a nice creamy yogurt but didn't cling or stick to the razor and allowed the blade to slide right across my skin leaving me with no irritation, nicks, or weapers.

Packaging and presentation was spot on as well. Arrived well protected inside another box that was tied with ribbon. The soap and dish was also wrapped with a foam spacer between the lid and dish to prevent any contact damage. Bowl is the same size as their previous offerings, ie: Galleon, Gold Rush, Decadence, etc.

Hope that helps some and hope to be able to respond back with an actual scent description soon.

Cheers,
Freddie

Thanks for the review on the soap, Freddiep318ti . Very pleased to see Caswell Massey partnering with a traditional wet shaving outfit. They used to have a store on Lexington Ave. in New York, and back in the day I did a lot of shopping there, as it was about the only place to get real shaving soaps and accessories. Plus, it was cool to shop in a place that had been open since the 1700s and I could get the cologne that George Washington wore (Number 6) and JFK wore (Jockey Club). I still use them!

Anyway, I have one of the Regents on the way, thanks, looking forward to using it!

Tradere SB with Wolfman Darwin Handle
Feather Platinum
Grooming Dept Lime
Edwin Jagger Synthetic Brush

Michael how is the lime, is it pure lime? I have the Kölnisch and like it a lot. Just picked up 3 more from his latest offerings and cant wait to try them out.

Hi ram57 Very pleasant scent: It's not a 'sharp' citrus, and though it's instantly recognizable as lime, it's not what I would call a 'pure' lime. Very nice for the hot weather we've been having, refreshing scent. The performance of his 'old' formulation, as this one is, is remarkable. I've tried the new tallow soap, and am just about to shave with the new non-tallow this morning, and like you, looking forward to it.
