Wow! That brush is absolutely freaking gorgeous.

Thanks! Rooney 3 Band Heritage brushes are in a class of their own!!

Amazing you have three of them? Incredible. Sometimes, I truly lament that I jumped into this hobby just a few years ago and not back several years ago when one could acquire these fine brushes when they were at their absolute best and more readily available. I'd like to have a three band and a 2-band from that era. It would have been neat to get a Morris and Forndran from this time frame as well.

Of the Rooney Heritage 3 Band, I still own two: the Alibaba and Stubby 3. The others I sold over time.

However, my most precious possession is about a dozen Simpson 2 Band from 2011/12. I still view this as the best 2 Band batch of hair that ever saw the dawn of light.

I've heard of these specific Simpson brushes also. Unfortunately I never experienced them, but again, I missed out on that era as well. Day late and a dollar short as usual. You have an incredible collection of brushes, thanks for sharing that. Truly an awesome photo.

Prep: Warm Shower-Stirling Bath Soap-Scots Pine Sheep
Soap: Maggard London Barbershop
Razor: Gillette NEW Short Comb
Blade: Vintage Schick Plus Platinum (Shave #10)
Brush: Turtleship Silvertip-24mmx55mm
Aftershave: Bulgari Blu EdT

WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angles for my beard)

Maggard London Barbershop today. 20 seconds to load the Turtleship Silvertip brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Vintage Schick Plus Platinum still in the Gillette NEW SC. Excellent smooth, close shave. I finished with Bulgari Blu EdT.

Maggard V3/Scotch & Stowe razor
Gillette Silver Blue blade
Stirling Margarita's in the Artic SS
WD Synthetic brush
Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
Barbasol Brisk A/S w/added menthol

Another Franken razor shave and it was good. Matching the V3 head with the S&S handle basically equals the Maggard Mr5 razor. It sure does work well for me too. I would have to say BBS in 2 passes. Comfortable and smooth too. This one goes one the One To Keep list for sure. Anyway, my face is very happy and I'm ready to go. Now go enjoy your day folks. Mine will be spent inside due to the rains from Harvey. Not nearly as bad as Texas but enough to keep you off the streets. Pray for those folks please.

Michael how is the lime, is it pure lime? I have the Kölnisch and like it a lot. Just picked up 3 more from his latest offerings and cant wait to try them out.
