2021/22 Rocnel Sailor Adjustable

LOOT I've been keeping up with the thread.  Thinking about pulling the trigger on the 2021 Sailor if I can get the maker to add the gold plated ring and the engraved handle end.  In another thread somewhere you mentioned that the new Sailor has a few quirks.  Please elaborate on that.

Might consider the MC (if available), because once you add in the plated ring and engraving you may be close to even on price (and delivery time), and the MC includes the stand.

Evening Mr. Sledge...I'm not sure what I coulda been talking about. I usually try to warn people about the head size and weight. Especially on the '20. As long as you can tolerate those aspects, you should be good.

You like the Janus prototype and it looks big in pictures. I have no doubt you would like the Sailor.

If you want the gold band with the engraved button on the bottom, the 2021Master has a silver coin on the bottom. The 2020 has a gold button. Both have gold bands. At least mine do. I find it hard to keep track at times.

You need to try one. Sell it if you hate it, but I am almost certain you will enjoy it. I like them all, the Master fits my hand best. I think you should get one while you can.

Well apparently DHL left my package that needed to be signed for, in an unsigned state. They delivered my Razor and left it on the front porch nobody there that's nice.
Edit: that's pretty much what I do every week, throw $700 on the front porch and walk off. Hmm

That really sucks. I've always had good luck with DHL. Hopefully you have no issues.

Thanks LOOT.  I am definitely interested but still curious about the quirks you mentioned in another thread.  What quirks?  Please be specific since it is far from an insignificant purchase and I would like to know as much detail on negatives as positives of the razor.  Thanks again for your input.

I've noticed that's become more prevalent - FedEx and UPS included.  Mine arrived by DHL the same way, BTW. Drop off and run, no matter the instructions.  You can usually set preferences on any of the sites, but in my opinion more frequently ignored now....

Again, I'm not sure what your are referencing or what post you saw or the context in which my statements were made or to which model. If you can point me to my post, I'll be glad to address it. Anything I know about Sailors is well documented in this thread.

Package signature requirements are not always being enforced, by the delivery companies, due to the ongoing pandemic.

You seem to be one of the most knowledgeable about the Sailor line.  Thanks for you patience as I dispel doubt before I jump in.   

Regarding my question, here is your response to a member post on another forum, "Should I buy a 2021 Rocnel Sailor, If so, why?"

One line of your response:  "The Sailor is superb, if you can get past the inherent quirks."  Sorry to be so focused on the word but before I spend the bucks what quirks were you referring to?  Is there anything other than the weight and head size that you have already noted that could be considered negative?  Thanks once again for your input.
