Uh...fell out?  Glued in?

There was no glue residue. I noticed it had some play last week but tonight it just fell out.
Interesting - no play at all in mine, and I had thought threaded or swaged.  Do you have a better picture of what the actual medallion looks like?  Your number?  Sounds like a message to Murat...hopefully an easy fix!  Sad

I’m not worried. Nothing a little marine grade epoxy wouldn’t permanently fix. I have some left over from a recent brush project. I’ll send a note to him to be aware for others.

Yeah, my guess is a pressed fit that just loosened somehow.  I'm not sure I would use a permanent glue - maybe Loctite.

Sorry that happened bud. On the positive side, at least it wasn't the handle that detached from the head:

On a second note, since the medallion is now out, you do have the option of trying to find a source to gold plate it.

Great suggestion. Plenty of wiggle room to fit even with gold plating at a few microns.

Try not to take that as too big of a negative. It is easy to fix...and you are one step closer to full dis-assembly. Any interest in breaking it down further? I've kinda been waiting on mine to come loose again...but I'm not forcing it.

Sucks it came out, Mr. Bread. Definitely reach out to Murat and keep us posted.

Gold plating would be interesting.
