In what ways are your RSMC shaves less perfect than your WR2 1.55 shaves? It will be interesting to see what the learning curve reveals.
Happy shaves,
Jim
I am following these reviews, as well. I also own the WR2 1.55 razor (DC 1.25/1.55), which has been my go to razor, prior to receiving my new MC. I have only two shaves under my belt with my new Rocnel MC 2021. Here are my very early thoughts:
1) As previously documented, make sure you orient the cap properly or the indexing will be off (zero will not be aligned with the tab)
2) The weight does grab my attention. I have a hollow-handle WR2 and I can notice the difference. It is a different feel and I am going to have to get used to the balance. It feels a little head, heavy to me right now. I should note that this is the first adjustable razor that I have owned, so this may be normal.
3) Not that the WR2 is all that nimble, especially, when compared to the WR1, which I also own, but my first impressions are that the Sailor feels even less nimble. I have to learn how to do a better job underneath my lower lip. Maybe a higher setting will help with this, or possibly just more experience with this razor.
4) So far, two shaves at the lower settings (3 and 1) have yielded irritation free shaves. Very smooth. Very nice.
5) I am in the habit of shaving every other day, most days, but often, once per week, I do shave on consecutive days. It will be nice to be able to opt for a lower setting on day two of back-to-back shaves.
6) I am glad that I purchased this razor. I am going to commit to this razor exclusively for a month to find out where it truly fits in my collection, and ultimately in my rotation. I am anxious to try setting 4, next.

Thanks for sharing the pic of a special razor.
