Used mine for the first time today, The handle on this feels solid, it is a stunning brush the intricacies of the faux ivory have to be seen in person, pictures couldn't do it justice, and I have to say the fan knot in this brush is unlike anything else I have, nowhere near as much backbone as my M&F 2 bands, not a wall of badger like my chubby super, no where as little backbone as some of my large silvertips. This brush is manageable, soft, the tips are amazing, and most importantly whipped up a beautiful lather. I would call this my goldilocks brush, I hope it doesn't break in too much and become floppy. Thank you again Brad for making a beautiful brush

Gentlemen,

First off, Nancy and I are beyond delighted that everyone seems to be enjoying their new DFS L.E. brushes!

As you know, we came into this with an agreement to fill the L.E. handles with 25 Fans and 25 bulbs, and ordered knots specifically for them.

Since the Fans are sold out, we've decided to dig into our Shop Supply of the same 1804A2 Fans so that we can offer more of the remaining LE handles with fans at this time.  Please know that we are still sticking a total of 50 LE brushes.  So when the handles are gone....

Thanks again for your interest in our work!

Update on brush stands for ~26-28mm brushes.  I ordered a few of these to try from eBay until I find something nicer:  https://www.ebay.com/itm/Anbbas-Shaving-...1537427151

I received them today and they are just what I was looking for!  The opening is 31mm and the DFS brush fits with room to spare.  My 26mm Thater fits great as well.

Happy camper here!

Hey I guess your having the same problem as me. Most of my brushes are in excess of 24mm well mainly between 28-32 I bought one of those plastic ones and that quickly broke. If you can keep me posted on when you find something nice.

Good afternoon, Gents! We still have a few L.E. brushes left, both Fans and Bulbs. Get 'em while they're hot. Tongue

How would the bulb compare to the (I already bought the fan) but wonder how they differ in case I want both.

Great question! The 1804A2 Bulbs have a little "springier" backbone than the fans. You obviously have experience with the Fan (Thank you for your patronage!) so you should find the tips to be the same. Personally, I like both; but I find myself reaching for the bulb more often.

Hope that helps.

I received my brush, a fan, a couple of days ago, thanks to the help of a very kind U.S. member, here.

First, the handle is beautiful. Not only is the alternative ivory just gorgeous, the handle shape is one of the most comfortable I've held. Fits perfectly in to my relatively small hands.

The vast majority of my brushes are Simpson Chubby Manchurians, with strong backbone which is my preference. This brush is undoubtedly my least backbone brush, even less than my Rooney 3xl Heritage, however, I love it. Sometimes a change is as good as a rest and this fan knot is pure luxury on the face. I've sold many low backbone brushes over the years. It's safe to say that this one is a keeper.

Thank you to DFS and Brad. Smile
