Because I only just received the brush and had to shave for work, I didn't have time to property prepare the brush for first shave, so I just dove in using the first shave as a way to clean and bloom the brush (envy white).

First impressions are that the handle feel and heft alone may make this my daily driver. Also, the envy white knot, despite not being prepped, was a lather machine and splayed easily. It has more backbone than my EJ silver tip and loaded easily.

After the shave, it was nicely bloomed and I expect that things will get better from here on out. When I get home from work in the morning, I'm going to clean and work the brush some more.

So far so good though, this may take over my daily shave from my plissoft synthetic.

Justin

PS It shed three hairs from the get go which isn't bad, IMO.

#5 arrived today and it's gorgeous! The tips are even whiter than my other four Envy Whites.
Great job Nathan and everyone involved at DFS!

You guys are lucky. I'd wait almost a month before mine arrives and know what number I got.

I was a little nervous about the weight of an aluminum handle....I threw the DFS LE with an ubersoft knot (not sure if that'd make any difference or not compared to the envy white or luxury silvertip) on the scale tonight and it weighed in at 3.9oz or 111g. The razorock 24mm plissoft I put on the scale weighed in at 2.8oz or 80g.

I'm pretty happy with that!

Probably going to be a while before I get mine... (Oh Canada! sigh)

For those that have it, what's the diameter and height of the whole brush? (cm or ")
I am looking for a travel tube for it.
Or will what it came shipped in ok to travel with?
