Just shaved with it as promised and I did get great results and a very pleasurable shave. Performance was very good but I think it lacks a touch of stability but I ended up with a great lather. Never hurts to return to old favourites once in a while.

Nice! I actually had no issue with stability though. The lather remained well hydrated the entire shave. I use the method MerkurMan uses, which has given me great results every time. Also I have a water softener so not sure how well it lathers in hard water.

I have more than two dozens of RazoRock/Italian Barber soaps, and I enjoy all of them!
I have pretty hard water but I never had stability problems: just load the brush for enough time (I do it for 45 seconds) and then start lathering by adding drops of water as needed to achieve the right consistency.

Only kept mudder focker and has passed along the rest.

Have you tried Santa Maria del Fiore Spencer? If you like tobacco scented soaps it is a keeper IMHO and one of their best.

Actually yes. I have two scents including SMdF. =D

I love the scent when I was in Italy and got the canned goo from SMN, but at the time could not justify getting the cream in a jar... Such a noob then. =p

I have been a big razorock fan for a long time. The soaps have incredible value for the money. They are so well priced and there is so much selection that if you don't like one it doesn't break the bank. But from my experience, the performance is right up there with top tier soaps. Don't let price fool you. Joe is also a great guy and has brought a ton to the wet shaving community.

Congrats! RR XXX is a favorite of mine! Do you have the aftershave? It's one of the best IMO!

I don't, but may pick one up.
