Hello,
I wanted to try the 1940's super speed and the Rocket version. Hoping I paid a fair price, input would be appreciated. I did not even now what is a fair price for vintage.

Hard to comment as it is more what you are comfortable paying. I try to stay in the user grade market as display/museum pieces are way out of my price range. That said, those prices would indicate display only models, and not user grade prices. I know thats subjective, but it's my opinion.

Thanks for commenting. I was thinking that, since $75 to buy a refinished super speed from delta echo. I seen ones with pitting and brass showing and they were all under $30. I wish the seller had the boxes they came in. But that would probably double price I paid.
Seems have to look at vintage as buying I car. More miles or wear less you pay.

I think you scored some beautiful razors. Enjoy the shaves.

I can buy a forties super speed for under $20 have it completely replated in nickel for around 40 and I've got basically a brand new razor for less than what you paid unless of course yours is replated and then it's a fair price.

Those razors look great and if you are happy - that is all that matters. I recently bought a straight razor that I would say was about $20 over the going price. It was something I have been on the look out for awhile and the condition was better then most that I have seen. This one is coming honed and stropped so literally it is ready to shave.

You have two really nice razors and if the shave well for you then enjoy.

I hope so. I have tried parkers TTO and other 3 piece razors, like ATT,merkur, muhle, and ikon. None of those seem to work for me compared to my new mongoose 2 and alumigoose 2.

I have a couple of Super Speeds and enjoy them. When I use a DE - 90% of the time it is with a old Gillette's.

Wow on the search for storage box. How tall are the super speed and rocket? I found place that says 84mm is that sound right?
