I'm dealing with quite an annoying cold these days. I can't smell anything, food is tasteless, I'm fed up of sneezing and I definitely felt like I needed an easy shave this morning. So it was clear that the razor to be chosen was the Mach 3. I have learned to like this otherwise boring razor for this kind of situations. She's just a mother. Easy, forgiving, and efficient. I needed two passes and a few touch-ups so as to get an easy BBS shave. Some Velva and Korres to round it up and all was good.
This Lea stick is of the former formulation, which is tallow based. The current one is veggie based (but still contains lanolin). Other than that, the difference is that the former stick smells of cheap lemon detergent and the current one has a fresh, clean, and aquatic scent that I personally like a lot. None of them has a strong scent so even if you happen to prefer the older one, that lemon scent won't be overwhelming. I couldn't smell anything this morning so that wasn't a problem, and I did have a really good shave with this stick. My intention is to use both of them alternatively for a few days, with different razors, and see if there is any noticeable difference in performance, scent improvement aside. I'll come up with my conclusions.

The EJ got the call up with a Lord blade installed. I am impressed. I am trying to finish a puck of Van der Hagen . Good clean scent but very predictable. A 3 pass shave with a clean up for the neck area. The OSMA alum got the call up. Cooled off the irritation and settled things down. Oh, and the sting! What the hell, I'm a glutton for punishment. But I did reward and pamper my ugly mug.... Floid original cooled and soothed a delightful afternoon. Now, onto beer!

You're making me really regret not having ordered a set.
