Last night’s SOTN was a bit of a beauty and the beast affair.





Another Turn N Shave brush arrived last night and it has a really nice space-related theme.

I decided to use it with the Rocnel DE-P as I’m still figuring out what works best with this razor. That’s where things took a turn for the worse.

It was really difficult to get a Feather blade correctly aligned in the razor (strangely, though, it aligned perfectly when I used the first time around a few days ago).

Unfortunately, my attempts left me with a rather large cut to my index finger that needed a mini tourniquet before it would stop bleeding.



I finally managed to get the blade correctly aligned and received a very smooth shave for my efforts.

I can see why Rocnel designed the Elite around a Feather as this is clearly the best blade I’ve used in the DE-P. It’s just a shame that it can sometimes be a bit of a faff to get the blade properly aligned as there is too much ‘play’ between the locating posts on the top cap and the blade.

Stirling Ozark Mountain today. 20 seconds to load the oscar11/TGN High Mountain White brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Wilkinson Sword Light Brigade Chromium still in the Gillette Fat Boy. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with Stirling Executive Man aftershave.
